API Malwa

The vision of a few stalwart Physicians of India gave birth to the idea of forming the Association of Physicians of India in 1944 mainly to provide a common forum to the Physicians of India to meet and to share experience and research observations in the field of Medicine. Following the path shown by the stalwarts of API, we a few physicians of Bathinda initiated the formation of Malwa Branch of API in 2013 with the approval and support of patent body of Association of Physicians of India, API (Malwa Branch) is now a registered association. The aims and objectives of API Malwa is to encourage and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the science of medicine in all ways and to hold meetings and organize conferences, exhibitions, study circles or conventions for the study and discussion of problems relating to and allied with the science of medicine. This will need cooperation and motivated help of all doctors of the region. I hope all the doctors will help and support the agenda of API Malwa Branch.

11th Annual Conference of Association of Physicians of India (Malwa Branch) ‘MAPICON Bathinda 2024’ will be organised in association with AIIMS, Bathinda from 26th-29th September 2024 at Auditorium, AIIMS, Bathinda in HYBRID mode under the aegis of Punjab Medical Council (applied for 16 credit hours for physical and 5 credit hours for online attendance), Association of Physicians of India (API) and Indian College of physicians (ICP). Visit www.apimalwa.com and register for ‘MAPICON 2024’. ‘MAPICON Bathinda 2023’, the 10th Annual Conference of Association of Physicians of India (Malwa Branch), the largest regular conference of the region with ‘National Status’ was organised in HYBRID mode from 21st-24th September 2023 at Auditorium, AIIMS, Bathinda in association with AIIMS, Bathinda under the aegis of Punjab Medical Council (awarded of 16 credit hours for physical and 5 credit hours for online attendance), Association of Physicians of India (API) and Indian College of physicians (ICP). Inaugural function was presided over by Prof Dr. D. K. Singh, Director, AIIMS, Bathinda, Mr. Jagroop Singh Gill, MLA Bathinda Urban, Dr. Rajeev Sood, Vice Chancellor, BFUHS, Faridkot, Dr. P. S. Brar, Member, Board of Management, BFUHS, Faridkot, Mr. Neel Garg, Chairman, MIDB and Dr. G. S Wander, Chairman, Board of Management, BFUHS, Faridkot. Dr. Balbir Singh, Health and Medical Education Minister delivered the inaugural address on the 22nd of September. Dr. Baljit Kaur, Women and Child Welfare Minister was the Chief Guest during Felicitation function on 24th September, 2023.

Already more than 140 delegates have registered for MAPICON 2024. Organising Committee has applied for 16 credit hours for physical and 5 credit hours for online attendance for MAPICON 2024. On behalf of the organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite all doctors, PG Students, Interns and MBBS students to the vibrant city of lakes, Bathinda, to attend and participate in 'MAPICON Bathinda 2024'. We have kept Oral/Poster presentation sessions for those interested to present their scientific papers & assembled an exciting and stimulating scientific programme for 4 days focusing on primary health care professionals & medical students.
